Based on my observation of Olympus Mons, I noticed several patters. There were lines radiating out from the center and there were other curved lines around the center. I wondered, are they related? Did one feature occur before the other? I also wondered what caused the features.

Based on what I knew about features on Earth, I thought, perhaps the circular marks were different lava flows and the radial marks were dust layers, ejecta, cracks, eroded stream beds or lava tubes. I noticed the radial patterns sometimes crossed the circular lines.

 

How could I find out whether my idea answers were true?

Many questions maybe be already answered. A google search could save you much time.
