3D Print Your Mars Area

To Make your own 3D Print of your area of interest:

1. In JMARS, zoom into the area you want to make a 3D print of.  

2. In the “Layers” title, click on the vertical 3 dots. Click on “3D layer”.

3. In the 3D viewer Options window, adjust the controls (map source, scaling). Click on “Save As”.

4. In the 3D Export/Save Options window, click “SAVE 3D PRINTER FILE(STL)…”

5. Click “Select File”. Double click where where you want to save your file Name your file. Click “SAVE”.

6. Choose your base thickness. Click “SAVE”.

7. In “3D Export/Save Options” window, click “CLOSE”.

8. Use your saved .stl for your 3D printer.
